RANGE ANALYSIS
Poker range analyzer for weighted postflop study
A range is a probability model over exact two-card combinations. FlopForge keeps class weights, card blockers, and the actually reachable combinations separate so a compact matrix does not hide impossible hands.
A 13×13 cell is not one hand
AKs represents four suited combinations before blockers; AKo represents twelve offsuit combinations; a pocket pair represents six combinations. Board cards and known private cards remove exact suit combinations, not entire classes automatically.
Good range analysis therefore needs both a class-level editor and an exact-combination audit.
Use weights as assumptions, not detected truth
A 75% class weight means the entered study gives that class three quarters of its full raw weight. It does not mean a real opponent holds it with 75% confidence.
Keep the source of the range explicit: preflop construction, observed action, population research, or a scenario you are testing.
Blockers must be applied before compact representatives
When a browser-safe model reduces a range, representative selection must happen after known-card compatibility is established. Otherwise one colliding representative can silently erase an entire strength stratum.
FlopForge treats exact full-range equity and representative strategy models as different scopes and reports how many combinations remain.

Questions this page should not hide
Should weights sum to 100%?
Class weights do not need to sum to 100. They are relative raw weights and are normalized over the legal exact combinations during analysis.
Can a blocker remove only part of a class?
Yes. One visible ace can remove specific AK combinations while leaving others legal.
Does a reduced range preserve every exact hand?
No. A representative model is an explicit approximation; exact equity and full-range modes should remain separate.
